Bed, Bath, and [MUCH] Beyond

Well, today went fairly well. We went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond after doing some pricing at Costco for some food items.

I think ultimately I got much more exhausted from registering than David did. Ha! Although, I have to admit, it was quite fun!! We found some cute stuff and settled on our color schemes. I'm really looking forward to it all! I can't wait to put everything up in our apartment and see how it all looks.

Then this evening I think I may have discovered our invitations! Thankfully we can word them however we want - because I have some things I'd like to change from the sample. But I ordered a sample, too! That should be here in the next couple weeks.

*sigh* There is so much to do. Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming, but mostly I enjoy planning. I am such a planner!!

So, color schemes, you ask? Of course I'll tell you!!

Bathroom: Navy, White, and some Bamboo. (Nautical Theme)

Bedroom: White, Gray, and a little Brown.

Kitchen/Dining room: Red, Black, and some Beige.

I'm SO excited for these! It was fun to find colors and products.

In other news, David is recovering quite well. He's consistently getting better and progressing in recovery. He may be off the Vicoden soon. That would be good. :)

Well, it's my time to sign off for the night. Love you all!! xoxo

Registry

Well, David and I are setting out for THE task tomorrow. Registry.

We are well prepared...well, not really. We are still deciding where to register! Lol.

But we're doing our research tonight to decide where to go. We're debating between Crate and Barrel, Macys, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We're trying to pick two of the aforementioned three. Please feel free to give us your input. We're still picking out things we want to register for. Like specific dishes, etc.

I think we found some we like...the Eastside pattern from Pfaltzgraff. It's way cute. Thankfully David likes them too. :) They match our kitchen color (Red).

This is my first time seeing my family since we got engaged. And it's so wonderful! We're really enjoying just resting and being at home.

This week promises to be busy between doctor appointments, lunches with parents, shopping, and resting.

Not to mention the registry. Which reminds me: we still haven't made a decision. Back to work!

Excitement =)

Things are progressing! My mom has made my hair piece for the reception, I think I have found shoes for my ADORABLE flower girl, and I just maybe found some matching shoes for myself.

Rental lists are coming along (specifically for the kids area!! which makes me really excited!!!) and applications are being filled out by the millions...ok, so not millions - but they're getting filled out!

There is a never ending list of things to do - but I WILL find the end. And I'm enjoying all the planning that goes into it. I was born for this. :)

The only thing I find hard is doing everything else like school and work. Ha. I'm so excited!!!

173 days. =)

getting closer!

Ok, so we finished the guest list, selected the location, and the date!! :)

Progress is happening.

:)

Thankfully we have some great people in our lives who are investing in the planning with us and helping us to be efficient and yet classy. Without them, we'd be lost on some of these issues.

We were given some cute ideas today for favors, invitations, and flowers. :)

For tonight, I am worn out. But I did get some fun mail today! My dad sent me his church's bulletin which has a newsletter in it - which announced my engagement. :)

I love my parents, I love my future parents-in-law. :)

Praise God!

Guest List

Not the easiest part of the wedding. David and I have spent our afternoon analyzing, discussing, talking to parents, and cutting the list. Not fun, either. :(

Guest list: Necessary. Ha. We have to have a number so we can start looking at specific locations. Once we do that, it'll be easier to just keep planning. The places we've liked most so far are for smaller occasions. This has meant cutting some people we really wish we didn't have to.

Some people aren't gonna be happy, some will be hurt, but ultimately, we have to keep it small. It's not easy for either one of us, but it's coming along slowly.

Pray for us. Please.

decisions, decisions...

Ok, so when it comes to music - there are SO many decisions to be made! Let alone total decisions that must be made for a wedding...or even for that matter decisions we make each day for life. ha.

For example...

*Recession song (leaving the church)
*Entrance song (entering the reception)
*Wedding party entrance (reception)
*First dance
*Father/Daughter dance
*Cake cutting song
*Bouquet toss
...the list goes on - but we are not playing songs for EVERYTHING...

We have some ideas - some funny, some serious. For those of you who are married (Holly...haha)

what are some suggestions???

On to more planning...

Hair Accessory? I think not.

So I was googling what a gerber daisy might look like in my hair for my wedding day...the result isn't quite what I had in mind. I think I shall keep looking.

In other news, I am making progress in the way of music and flowers. Keep checking back for updated news! =)
